At Borr Drilling, the Supply Chain encompasses critical business areas including Supplier Management, Availability Management, Procurement, and the Logistics – Customs clearance of goods and services both locally and globally. It also includes the movement of rigs between countries, provision of rig inventories, and the management and allocation of inventories worldwide.
Recognizing and managing risks and opportunities is crucial in navigating the various areas of the supply chain. This is achieved through close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including our suppliers.
Key elements for Goods and Service Suppliers are their ability to:
- Adhering to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, meeting or exceeding Borr Drilling’s benchmarks. All suppliers are requested to enlist and obtain/maintain ranking with Ecovadis, SupplHi or other recognized ESG accreditation and ranking organization.
- Providing Goods and Services that align with international, local and Borr Drilling standards.
- Providing Goods and Services, where possible, from local and regional areas within Borr Drilling’s operational zones, ensuring required quality standards are met.
- Offering Goods and Services at competitive and discounted pricing levels at leading terms, resulting in continued business and turnover relationships.
Borr Drilling implements a comprehensive supplier Onboarding process for integrating new suppliers. A significant emphasis is placed on the environmental performance within our supply chain, prioritizing goods and services with the best or improved environmental footprints, thereby minimizing impact on people and the environment across product lifecycles. Suppliers excelling in these areas will be our primary vendors.
For the logistics of required goods movements, Borr Drilling has partnered with the Third-Party logistics provider DSV, facilitating the worldwide transportation of goods for Borr Drilling operations. Additionally, in local regions, Borr Drilling and its subsidiaries engage with local logistics providers. In terms of cost Management and Strategic sourcing, Borr Drilling procures goods and services utilizing tendering processes on a global and/or regional basis.
